Most of the people (i.e. like Bloggers and Affiliate marketers) know What is Affiliate Marketing and how it’s the most economical way to earn money online.In this article, i will share the information About Affiliate Marketing which will help you to understand it.
Affiliate Marketing is a type of performance based marketing in which the company reward the affiliate for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts.

Terms used in Affiliate Marketing

• Advertiser = Merchant = Retailer = Brand = An Advertiser is a businessperson who trade their products by others, in order to earn a profit.
• Network = Networks is a bunch of affiliates and contains offers for the affiliate to choose from, and pay affiliates and get paid by advertisers.
• Affiliate = Publisher = Publisher promotes offers selected  from network and earns a commission or finders-fee for referring clicks, leads, or sales to a merchant.
• Customer
• Affiliate Software = Software’s used by companies to create an affiliate program for their product. Like:- HasOffers
• Affiliate marketplace = There are many marketplaces like CJ, Clickbank which works as central database for affiliate programs in different niche.
• Affiliate Manager = Many Companies have dedicated Affiliate Managers to help affiliate and make them more money.
• Affiliate Link = A URL tracking link that identifies the affiliate and sends traffic to the merchant’s web site.  For example, http://www.affiliatenetwork.com/yourpage.asp?AffiliateID=1234
• Affiliate ID = Similar as Affiliate Link.For Example: link-http://www.affiliatenetwork.com/yourpage.asp?AffiliateID=1234 .Now, 1234 is the Affiliate ID 
• Payment Method = Different Network offers different Payment Method. Like: Paypal ,Check , Wire Transfer and Many More
• Payment Frequency = Different Network Offers different frequency.Like:
   Daily : Receive Daily Payment. For Example :- All Revenue of Today will be paid till Tomorrow.
  Weekly: Receive Weekly Payment. For Example:- Today is 08/03/2014. All Revenue Generated From 08/03/2014 to 15/03/2014 will be paid on 16/03/2014.
  Net-15 : Receive Payment After 15 days. For Example:- Today is 08/03/2014. All Revenue Generated From 08/03/2014 to 23/03/2014 will be paid on 08/04/2014.
  Net-30: Receive Payment After 30 Days. For Example:- Today is 08/03/2014. All Revenue Generated From 08/03/2014 to 08/04/2014 will be paid till 08/05/2014.
• Two -tier = In this you recommend others to Join the Network and on others Earning you will be also get paid some percent when sub-affiliate generate revenue.It is also know as Sub-Affiliate Commission.
• CPA = Click per Action
• CPL = Cost per lead
• PPC = Pay Per Click
• CTR = Click Through Ratio
• CPC = Cost per click
• CPM = Cost Per Thousand = The cost of 1000 banner impressions.
• CPO = Cost Per Order = Referred specially for sales.
• EPC = Earnings Per click =  Average earnings per 100 clicks

Is Affiliate Marketing illegal?

If you are going to be promoting a product via blogs, articles and other legit methods of sticking your products in the faces of others, then you’re going to be totally OK. However, if you begin spamming, adding hidden charges to people, then you are going to be breaking the law.

Is it Important to have a Blog for Affiliate Promotion?

It’s not Necessary.You can promote it through many ways like PPC,Advertising,but it’s not the best option.Best way is to have a blog and use it for hard and soft promotions.

It’s free to join a affiliate program.There is no charge for joining affiliate programs.

What Qualifications are needed to become a Publisher?

Literally no qualifications are needed to become a publisher.but having a Copywriting skills and marketing skills (like SEO) are the Advantages.

Why Affiliate Marketing Works Well on Blogs?

Blog is not the only way to make money from Affiliate Marketings and it won’t suit every blog/blogger, but there are few reasons for becoming it profitable in our medium. Perhaps, the biggest reasons of this is that affiliate marketing seems to work better when there is a relationship of trust between the Blogger and their readers.
I have found that readers are more likely to follow the recommendations a blogger makes.
Of course, this can also be a negative point with affiliate marketing i.e. promote the wrong product and trust may be broken.
